Nvidia Shield impressions! Anyone have it?

Does the shield streaming work well if both the pc and the shield are using wireless wifi to connect? Or does it only work if the pc is wired via Ethernet cable, and the shield is wireless?

My dual band router is located in the middle of my house in a closet- my computer is not by my router and neither would the shield

I'm considering one for a portable emulator machine as I feel touch controls blow. If price drops a bit more I'll probably buy it.

I use a powerline adaptor for my PC which works really well. Was terrible with both on 2.4Ghz, good with both on 5Ghz. On PC using Powerline and Shield using 5Ghz it's completely smooth.

I think it's more to do with 5Ghz not liking walls or obstructions of any kind. Hardwiring it just takes out one more problem.

Emulation is my favourite thing about it. Have a look at the XDA devs Spreadsheet to see about compatibility. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Al_tgDiSllFFdGhJQ3p3d1JDTU0wS3IyNjVxdDB6MVE#gid=0

19. And so did Elvis have his road crew set up a mighty speaker system outside the walls. And thusly did he pump up the volume.
