Good, someone else said it.

It was a fairly fun game.

Lmao at people saying "excellent recommendation" regarding Just Cause 2.

The chopper mechanics in the game are not REMOTELY realistic, the damn chopper will stay locked in at whatever altitude you put it at for god sakes.

Read the OP bro, "sim" is in quotes for a reason.

It has 400 square miles to fly around in. It's a good recommendation.

Shutup dude, you're not the TC, let him interpret the meaning of his thread. Like I said, crap recommendation.

While you aren't looking for a real sim, I would suggest going for it. They can be stupidly fun once you learn how to fly. Especially the combat oriented ones.

Otherwise, Just Cause 2 is your best bet. One of the largest open-worlds ever, though the helicopters aren't that exciting to fly.

I don't need to interpret the meaning, he explained it clearly in the OP.

Try and figure out how to fly a Battlefield 3 helicopter in an active server! HAH

this... but i'm serious. Sure you could hop on an empty server and have gigantic maps to fly around in. You can use a x360 controller or a ps3 controller. I use the latter. It's the most fun way to fly a helicopter if you ask me... You have 6 helicopters to choose from. all of them unique. Scout, attack and transport, with russian and american counterparts.

I'm looking for a game where I can fly around in a helicopter, but not necessarily a realistic simulator.

No need to get all defensive because you're more or less illiterate, you're not alone as there are lots of people out there with a similar affliction (sadly).

On Topic

Apache Air Assault has an "arcade" mode that throws the realistic flight model out the window... very simple controls that are easy to tool around in. The fact that you also get guns and missiles to play with makes it all the better =)
