Memorable story-driven titles like The Last of Us, Alan Wake, and Gone Home?

Played these recently and they were all quite good in their own way.

Also played through The Witcher series and that's another that stands out as good stories.

I was pleasantly surprised by Gone Home. Usually I dismiss indie games as crap, but this one was different.

Are you asking for new games? PC games (assuming not as you mentioned LOU)?

Silent Hill 2 and Killer 7 are two of the best stories in game history. Pathologic is amazing, but the broken translation (not an exaggeration, it is 100% broken and can be unintelligible).

Walking Dead I guess, I mean it's only story
Spec Ops: The Line
Binary Domain had a cool story, pretty repetitive robot shooting gameplay though

^When I played Pathologic as the Harispicus, the translation was pretty good. Apparently different people translated each of the three campaigns.

what was your take on alan wake? I liked it and at the same time didnt like it. Feel too much like a movie, but at the same times, its what kept me going.
