I mean with all the new releases now and the new ones coming soon.

I have a HD 4890 that is starting to hold me back.

Gonna upgrade that as soon as possible. Also any recommendations for a GPU? And when should i buy?

There have been some incredible deals on HD 7950s. I got mine for $177 after $20 MIR.

What's your budget? 7950s are a really good deal right now along with 7970 if you want to spend more

I guess 200-300 hundred bucks.

If i do get one it will be in another week when i get paid...So i would say next friday/monday. AKA in 7 or 9 days. Not this coming weekend.

Will the deals still be on...?

Probably. If not just wait a bit for new deals on the same cards. It seems like they'll be on sale for a week then off sale for a few days then back on sale. I got my 7970 on sale back in June and it's still on sale now with short breaks in between.

K cool, will the 7950 last me a while? If another card is coming out that blows it out the water i would rather just save then put the 200 bucks towards that.

9950s are coming out in a few months, and the 800 series a few months after that, but that's always true that new stuff is on the horizon. If you want a new card now, the 7950 is a good card and a good buy.

Well the new series of AMD cards is coming out later this year and they will be better than their 7000 series counterpart, but the price will be higher for a while and it might not be worth it right away. If you get a 7950 now by the time it doesn't perform to your liking the 8000/9000 series (whatever they're going to call it) will be cheaper.

The 7900 series also comes with 3 games of your choosing from a decent list (look up "Never Settle" bundle)
