Should I wait to play Crysis 3 until I have a GTX 880?

My plan is to get one of these when they drop in February, and use my existing GTX 670 FTW as a PhysX card.

My question is whether I would do okay performance-wise if I played Crysis 3 now. I have heard that it pretty much destroys single-card setups if you try to run it on Ultra, and I do like to max games out when I play.

The rest of my setup includes an i5 3570K at 4.5 Ghz, 8 GB of RAM and, I would be playing at 1080p.

It gets a little slow if you try to max everything, but it's not like you can't just lower a few settings.

If by max you mean max anti aliasing and everything I don't think you'll get very good framerates on a single 670.

The only thing I don't max is AA, because what's the point? I rarely go above 4x.

Max at 60 fps? The gtx 780 doesn't even come close: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/MSI/GTX_780_TF_Gaming/13.html

Better hope the gtx 880 reaches gtx 690 levels. Which might happen since every top dual gpu card by nividia gets surpassed by the x80 card that releases 2 cycles later:

GTX 580 > GTX 295
GTX 780 > GTX 590
