Those people are not doing the game series justice. They're just slapping on some mods and calling it there own.

Made the mistake of getting BG:EE and I won't make that mistake again. I've already purchased BG & BGII from GOG so I can mod, etc. Much more fun that way.

You do get that people are working on modding BG:EE, right? Chances are the big and popular mods will get ported to it sooner or later. Your mistake wasn't getting EE, it was getting it before the modding community had time with it.

Also cool, I might get it down the line if the good mods are ported to it, once that happens there's not much reason NOT to get it.

It what way does that negate not buying the EE?
'original with mods is better'
'no, get ee so it can be as good as the original sometime maybe'

There are thing the mods cannot do that EE does you know.

Also, no Neera means the original is far too inferior to even consider anymore.

Those graphics look really bad. How do they plan to sell any copies?

If you can look past the graphics and get into the game itself, you'll find out like most everyone who has played it that Baldur's Gate 2 is one of the best PC rpgs of time. It would be a shame if you let graphics get in the way of playing a great game.

Because the game has deep and varied gameplay, interesting characters inhabiting a well realized world etc. - and some people have a functioning "imagination", which allows them to envision a scenario/situation without it being presented for them with 300 shader effects.
