How do digital games on Amazon work?

Do they give you a code to buy it from a client or do you just download a copy directly from Amazon? If you get it from Amazon directly, what kind of DRM is on the game?

It depends on the individual game, some are direct downloads some, are just keys for Steam, Origin.

Steam/Origin key or direct download from Amazon. If it's from Amazon, you only have whatever DRM comes on the retail release.

Look carefully at the game you are interested in. If they require a 3rd party DRM(Steam, Origin, etc) it will state. Otherwise you sign into your Amazon account and download it from "My Games."
