You might be best off buying one of the mass produced pre-builts at this price range. I'd see what you can find there and see if you can beat it on pcpartpicker.

Although the problems with those is that they usually use cheap mobos, cheap HDDs, and cheap RAM(not that this makes a big difference).

Don't expect to max out modern games with a $400 build though.

Honestly, if you already have a laptop and want to play games you should just get a PS4 for that money.

Walmart would be your best bet.

Serious? Walmart? I'm located very far but possibly near a Fry's electronics, best buy, a bunch of stores. But Walmart has a good selection??

Gonna research that right now...

Any more info is gladly appreciated.

BTW, I am technically saavy, It's been years since I built my own custom pc and have been buying laptops at a bargain for years. I know specs, but too many cards these days and they are recycling numbers and I HATE that.

Here you go

Nice thing about these, they come with an OS.
Just get yourself a cheap monitor at a garage sale, or just use your TV.

This system isn't too terrible.

Or here you go, this isn't too bad.

Or a system with some upgrade potential, a cheap video card might make this worth while.

I've heard those Cooler Master eXtreme Power PSUs are pretty bad. You might want to look into a different one.

You're welcome. Usually Corsair, Seasonic, and Antec are pretty good.
