Why do they add porn to videogames?

Oh, and by the way, if the crux of your argument is that because somebody else has a different viewpoint from your own they are immature, but you can't discuss these differences without resorting to petty bickering, name calling and assumptions then you should look up hypocrite in the dictionary, then go take a long reflective look in the mirror.

Sex /=/ porn. Nudity in games is very tame anyway, we're talking even more tame then Playboy since over the years they started to show a little bit of between the legs. In games at best you'd only see genitalia in a non sexual context like somebody changing or showering. It's not like a lot of games are really hard set to try and push the boundaries of sex in a multiplatform M rated game.

Might as well take out blood too right? It's unnecessary and adds nothing to the gameplay or story.

In my opinion the devs should have the freedom to create a video game anyway they see fit as long as the game is rated correctly when released. It would just be unfair to limit one type of media while letting all other media slide when it comes to nudity.

For whatever reason the devs of the TW2 believed that having nudity in their game was the right thing to do and I'm glad they had the freedom to make the game the way they wanted to.

Also anyone that thinks the nude scenes in TW2 are porn has obviously never seen a real porn.. The nudity in TW2 is about equal to what you see in the movie Titanic which is rated PG13.

The fact you think NO ONE takes sex scenes seriously is kind of odd. If they didn't they wouldn't put them in games. Not everyone has your juvenile sense of humor.

And yes, I enjoyed Journey, quite a bit. So what?

Nothing really, I just figured you'd be the kind of guy who would enjoy "artsy" games like Journey. I'm an old school gamer, games used to be about gameplay. Everything else was just dressing. You seldom just sat there with idle hands while a cutscene played, much less watching cartoons having sex.

Guess that's why I'm more of a PC gamer. You'll find more games without all that noise. I'll admit I loved Blade Runner. But then, the game wasn't in anyway pretentious. It was just plain good.

I think the better question is, why don't they add porn to videogames? There's a serious lack of it!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm How old are you? Whats your religion? are you male or female? seriously you dont want to see it close your eyes when it happens cover it with your hands :D

You know, there ARE asexual people who are repulsed by sex. But in their case, they can't help it.

(I'm straight, though. And maybe a 1.5 on the Kinsey scale)

So you just want to subject antiquated morality to it?

If people followed that morality, it would be a better world.

What a bleak world you must live in. Sin (if you believe in that kind of crap) is good for the soul in moderation.

I loved blade Runner. I have a lot of old school in me too. Hell, I bought the sonic franchise collection and I'm playing the HELL out of them. I know where you're coming from, trust me. I just don't see games as purely a form of constant entertainment.
I love artistic expression in all forms. i loved Journey. I loved To the Moon. Do I think they're the godsends to gaming that the purely art-centric gamers do? No. But I think they have meaning and do a great job at what they want to do. The Witcher is a story-driven game. The story in question happens to feature a protagonist that has sex. A TON of it. It's pretty graphic in the books. They wanted to stay true to the story and the character, so depictions of sex were used. Depicting sex but not showing anything of the act strikes me as avoidance.
