Why do they add porn to videogames?
If people followed these moralities, there would also be no violence or many other things in videogames either.
Really, how is a sex scene, worse than all the blood and violence?
If you're gonna speak of morality, don't just pick and chose whichever are convenient to you.
This is what I don't like about current wester society, apparently watching humans (or other creatures) being violently killed or dismembered is a-ok, but show a female nipple and you've gone too far, that's too mature for anyone to handle or something...
What's wrong with having porn in videogames? Also there's barely any, compared to any other medium.

Yeah, and you know what will happen if one day someone on mainstream TV sees a nipple? You know what will happen to the children?

Yarou...Didn't one of the main series Pokemon games have to be altered to remove "gambling" from it? As it happens, I believe this happened to make the game OK for the European market! This is ironic as the game we are talking about is a European developed title. As to the comparison of violence in games vs sexual content...well, the issues are not comparable as different "norms" affect how they are viewed. None of this makes a lot of sense but our great hobby marches on...
King David, my hero.
Because sex sells.
If a game's not good enough for a physical release, then it's not good enough for me.
Official KH3 Aerith, apparently? How...?
Because according to the children and virgin basement dwellers playing these games, porn is "mature".
Seriously? Witcher 2 amazing game, but come on why do devs think we want to watch naked pixels and then they turn it into a sex scene...
Because they are the developers of the game and have creative control over the content that they introduce into their product.
I can completely understand why someone might be against explicit images and depictions of various elements (nudity, death, gore, etc.) within video games, but it must be understood that any video game, no matter how great, will always possess a quality that one individual or another will not particularly enjoy. This includes sexual content. Still, it this does not take precedence over the fact that the developers can pick and choose what kind of content exists in their game.
Also, let us not forget the fact that sex really does sell at a substantial degree. People, particularly men, love to see the female figure, especially those with seductive forms. In light of the staggering amount of debates over the subject, it cannot be ignored that no matter how much people complain about the rampant display of sexual content in a given video game a part of the reason that it will sell will be for the specific reason.
Oh, and the game is rated "M" for "Mature." Come on, if you can expect blood and gore then you can certainly expect a little skin every now and then.
Life isn't easy, but it sure is beautiful
'Cause it's finger-lickin' good.
Everybody's got their own conceptions. And you know they always will.
it ain't porn, it's fanservice!
also, rule 34. if the devs don't do it, someone else will do it and it's gonna be worse than what the devs can come up with and so they might as well go all the way and not let their own creations produce half-assed porn
Is the entire gist of this topic that someone managed the incredible feat of buying the witcher 2 without knowing that there would be at least one sex scene?
