Origin has better customer support. That being said, everything else is better on Steam. Significantly more secure, much better account stuff and a big selection.

I ended up getting Origin because of the humble bundle. And in my opinion they basically copied steam in every way. Other then it works much worse. I am always seeing can't process keys try again later. One night it just kept crashing and forgetting my password, which is pretty annoying.

EA has a long way to go, Origin is still just in its infancy, maybe five years from now it will be better >.>

The worst complaint I regularly hear about Origin is that it will download a huge chunk of a game, then discard it and start over.... like it'll get to 80% complete and then suddenly you're back at 25% complete or something. I've never once in almost 9 years had that problem with steam...

The worst complaint I've heard about steam (about downloads) was when some people would get the entire game downloaded a second time instead of the smaller update...like I'd get a 233MB update, they'd get a 4GB download.... I've never had that happen either but I've seen enough complaints from a variety of people that it must be real.

But yeah, Origin is still in infancy (I guess it would be in the "terrible 2's"), and hasn't even gotten to the "growing pains" stage... Maybe in 7 more years it'll catch up to where steam is today... too bad steam will probably not be standing still waiting for Origin to catch up.
