I know you are trolling,my little gumdrop, but let me explain anyway. You pulled 4KP out of your ass because no one even said that here. 4k and 2160p can be synonymous. Le sigh.

But but . . . 3D . . .

3D was a fad that has now failed, just like all rational people said it would.
4K is the latest gimmick, and just like 3D - designed to raise the price of TVs for a short time. It will also fail.

"After becoming one of the first to broadcast it and then getting burned on the failure of 3-D television, ESPN is holding back its bet on 4K television — the purported “the next big thing” from television set manufacturers." - Broadcast Engineering

Hey, I like 3D from time to time. I think Avatar 2 will bring attention to it again.

Even without broadcasts in 4K, I bet a lot of PC gamers will buy them.

Other than PC gamers or people with HTPCs, who would need one right now?

no... Displayport 1.2 is more than capable.

Display port 1.2 is EXACTLY what forces MST Mode. read the EVGA link

Maybe you should read your own links.

http://www.digitaltrends.com/home-theater/hdmi-2-0-explained/
What looks to be clear is that the Forum will not adopt DisplayPort, a wire protocol that can easily do 4K Ultra HD at 60 fps in 10-bit color already.

Edit: Some additional links.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DisplayPort
17.28 Gbit/s of effective video bandwidth, enough for four simultaneous 1080p60 displays (CEA-861 timings), stereoscopic 2,560 × 1,600 × 30 bit @120 Hz (CVT-R timings), or 4K UHDTV @60 Hz

http://www.pcper.com/reviews/Displays/ASUS-PQ321Q-315-4K-Tiled-Monitor-Review/DisplayPort-12-MST-and-STMicro-Athena-Contr
And the truth is that while DisplayPort 1.2 has the bandwidth to support 4K resolutions at 60 Hz with a single stream, the necessary controllers for that option are not yet available.

Uh...you're the only person in the topic to mention "4KP". 2160p is 4k. They're the same thing.

Well thanks for the correction, to bad there are no video cards or displays currently in existence that currently support that. From what I read they'll be shipping out controllers to support that later in 2014. Most likely going to able products or Sony's 4k TV's.

Either way nothing right now can do None tiled 4k.
