Is planetside 2 good?

It's basically Battlefield on a very large scale.

It's a good concept, but yeah it lags a lot, so i can't recommend it unless you have a good rig and a NVidia card.

I run it on the highest settings with a good stable 60 fps but like others have said, it get's old, fast.

Everyone hates everything on gamefaqs so no point in asking here. Just look at the other dragon age thread going on right now. Everyone hates that game too.

That one is most likely bad though, Planet Side two is a good game with some mild performance and server issues, but the underlaying game is good.

Pretty amazing game. One of the best FPS games ever, only problem with it is you need a killer CPU to run it properly.

Judging by your post and your writing, you'll enjoy it plenty. I think its the worst FPS of the century with Arma not far from it.

Don't whine about my stereotyping.

Judging by your post you fit in really nicely in San Francisco.

The game is actually pretty jaw dropping sometimes though. Like earlier me and a friend drop into the battlefield and it was just stunning seeing hundreds of aircraft in the air all fighting while entire armies of tanks blew everything away. It's hard to really get tired of seeing huge fleets of aircraft fly over and execute a perfect bombing run on a base, or seeing a perfect tank formation meeting another head on. You really need a friend or a clan to play with though, by yourself it's just not very much fun and instead of performing bombing runs like I was talking about, you will probably just be the random jet that tries to take off and manages to flip over before it even leaves the ground. There is always at least 4 of those at every spawn too, which is amusing to watch in it's own right

I played at release, and even joined a clan with TS, and the game was basically musical chairs. Have a huge zerg take over a base, never defend, move to the next one. Do this for as many hours as you can.

Arma would be a terrible FPS....considering it's not an FPS
