If the network switch needs 7.5VDC and 1 amp. Can I use this PSU?

I have missing PSU for the network switch but I found a PSU with same voltage but with 2.5 amp current?

I google it looks like it's safe with laptops (as long it's same VDC and higher amp) but does this apply for network switches?

Polarity and voltage need to be exactly the same. The amperage has to be the same or higher, the switch will only draw as much as it needs.
