QNIX QX2710 Evolution II is it worth taking a risk on one?

I hear that mostly are good but I am a bit confused by but the DVI inputs. My GTX 480 has a two DVI-I connectors but this monitor requires a DVI-D enabled GPU. Is there anyway around this? If yes, could you post a link for the product I need.

Just read this while researching:

"NVIDIA based graphics cards which carry a DVI-I connector are fully compatible with flat panel LCD monitors which typically have DVI-D cables."

http://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/221/~/what-is-the-difference-between-dvi-i-and-dvi-d%3F

The only difference between DVI-D and DVI-I is that DVI-I carries a digital and analog signal as opposed to only digital.

Also from that link:

"The DVI-D cable will only read the digital signal from the DVI-I connector on the graphics card and ignore the analog signal."

At most you would need to get a converter, but I doubt it would be necessary.

Btw, go ahead if you have someone to give your old monitor to. There is little risk as there are warranties on these monitors.

Edit: I just realized that my GPU also only has DVI-I, the one with more holes. So I can confirm that will work as I am using it right now.

The Qnixs with the Samsung PLS panels are superior to the Shimians with the Apple Cinema Display panels because of better colour.

Matte vs Glossy is up to you. I got Matte.

Ok, just running DVI-I without analog would give me issues? I am a bit ignorant about what the analog signal does tbqh. Also, do you think I should go through E-bay or amazon?

$310. I am just worried since on the reviews and sites it says "PC graphic card must surport Dual link DVI.".

You will be fine connector-wise.

If buying from Amazon eliminates chances of paying duties then buy from Amazon. You might get better support too.

Oh and be prepared to buy a 3rd party stand or have some books ready to put under either side of the monitor, the stand wobbles.
