What's your ideal monitor size for gaming?

I'm interested in a 27'' but I'm worried that at 1080p, it won't look all that great. Debating about picking up a 23'' or 24'' but figured I'd see what you guys prefer based on experience.

I've got a 24" and that size is fine at 1080p to me. I wish either my monitor had a smaller bezel or that I had gone 23", but that's just an issue with my desk, the monitor itself is fine.
Every time I try to go where I really wanna be it's already where I am, 'cuz I'm already there

At 1920x1080/1200, I find that my personal sweet spot is 23-24". Really it depends how far away one sits from their monitor.

Gamed on a 22" for 6 years. Went and started doing more console gaming so I picked up a 51" TV. I like it but I find myself doing worse in FPS.

Went back to a 21.5" monitor, recently. Perfect size for me.

23-24" is the best size I think.

I sit pretty close to my monitor. 23" is pretty good for me.

If I bought a 27" I'd probably just lean back and adapt to it. I'm sure you'd be able to adapt to whatever you got too, but I can't really say what you'd personally prefer.

My makeshift rig uses a 32" television. It's no monitor but I'm quite fond of it.

May be 27'' for me.
Oh, I don't want to walk that far. Anything that takes more than 12 steps isn't worth doing! Eh? 12? Get it? Steps! Hehehe.- Homer J. Simpson
