Dust: An Elysian tale or Rogue Legacy?

Rogue Legacy. But it really is a tough call. I love the addictive-ness of Rogue Legacy, but I really dig the art style and varied environments with fun combat in Dust as well.

If you are looking for something to complement FTL, I'm not sure you'd want another rogue-like (Rogue Legacy).

I like Rogue Legacy a lot, but it's really not a rogue-like game at all. It has randomization, and that's pretty much it. Randomization which can be turned off.

Wow a lot of mixed responses here, but from what most people say rogue legacy sounds like a better hit. I guess I'll pick up dust during a steam sale since it seems like a shorter game anyway.

None of those games are rogue-like.

Rogue Legacy is only a valid choice at its price point if you have psychological problems regarding grinding addiction. With that perspective in mind, its really not that special and Dust completely surpasses it.

Rogue Legacy is not a Metroidvania at all either, I hardly can consider a grinding game with randomized & incredibly repetitive environment with nothing being needed a "Metroidvania". Its just a "go through 10000 rooms, get gold, die, upgrade, repeat" until you complete the game.
