Anyone still gonna buy Bioware games after the worst ending of all time w/ ME3?

I never particularly liked Bioware games. The gameplay mechanics are lousy.

You guys want to know what's the exact opposite of ME3's horrific ending? Watch the video below from beginning to end then you will know how amazing a game's ending can be.

another ending i liked was the true ending of Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors. i actually played just last year, a few months after Mass Effect 3.

it was complicated and bit of a mind screw, but it kinda made sense depending on how you looked at it. and it was clear that the writer didn't just pull it out of his butt at the last second. even if you were turned off by the whole time paradox thing, it was pretty amazing how everything came together. it blew my mind.

in contrast, it was obvious that the writers of ME3 just didn't really know what they were doing. there were hanging plot threads from ME2 (dark energy), the Catalyst makes the plot of ME1 pointless, the fact that he just comes out of nowhere is really bad writing, etc.

The last Bioware game I bought (and probably ever will) is Dragon Age Origins.

Scratch that, I bought Jade Empire after DAO, but it's an older game than DAO.

Mass Effect 3 is far from the worst ending of all time. Most disappointing, maybe you could make that argument, but I would still disagree.

Honestly I quite enjoyed the Mass Effect series as a whole. To me, ME3 was not that different in overall quality of gameplay or the story than the previous installments in the series ( while 2 improved gameplay, what little story it had I thought was not particularly strong). Do not get me wrong, it certainly had its flaws, but it also got caught in that #$% storm of anti EA and anti Bioware response that was due to the general disappointment with Dragon Age II and The old republic MMO (Both way worse games than Mass Effect 3 imo), and a lot of mistakes EA made to really mess up the way people thought about the publisher.

Honesty out of everything they have done in the past 5 years or so, it is probably Mass Effect 3 that is the reason why I think Bioware is still a competent game developer and they might be able to make great games.

I never cared much about Mass Effect and I didn't even play the second & third one, but I'm still pissed about Dragon Age 2. I'll take a careful look at the reviews once Dragon Age 3 comes out, but until then I've put Bioware on my mental ignore list.

Probably would as I enjoy their games.

Absolutely, they're only games. Who knows their future games might be better.

What's up with the inferiority complex many gamers and game developers seem to have?

It is true that their future games can be better. But right now there aren't many reasons to believe they are. For example EA has said they aren't going to make singleplayer games and adding multiplayer to DA3 is going to be complicated. And they still have a strong DLC focus which will also make it harder to develop a solid game.

BioWare has been going downhill since BG2, so it's no surprise they've been failing lately. I don't think they'll improve much, but we'll see. At least ME3's multiplayer is fun.

ME3 (feeling like it was rushed out)

Yep, you know how you can tell it was rushed? It was delayed twice.
