Would you have backed this game?

I think the game didn't get enough exposure. But it sounds very ambitious and looks like a lot of fun

"Strider, and Castlevania meets Dishonored and Mark of the ninja, in this highly ambitious side scrolling action arcade game."

I wouldn't have backed it. But I'd have been tempted to buy it during a Steam Sale.

No. The whole 16-bit fad needs to die out. I'd rather have a simple-looking game that doesn't look like a pixelated mess than a pixelated mess.

Also, the creator needs a writer. "However, we are in 2013, not the early 90's, taking advantage of modern technology, and new ideas, we can enrich the game playing experience by adding more freedom, and choice, allowing the player to decide how you are going to tackle the challenges the game presents." That's at least two different sentences, one of which implies you're not going to be the player. The guy's from London. Geez.

I will back no game.

A useful or neat product that isn't a video game, maybe.

I still highly prefer a more pixelated approach (though I prefer when games don't go -too- low, but Terraria & Starbound are nice for me), because any "high resolution 2D graphics" these days means "cartoonish as all hell". Its almost obligatory for them to feel like a cartoon with hi-res 2D and that just bothers the hell out of me.

Anyway, random rant aside...

...I'm not sure what to make of that kickstarters.

So what... he just wanted to get paid 5k to work a bit more on it? Is that the gist of it? Lets not pretend 5k would pay for a team of people working on it, or what have you.

I just don't quite get it.

I'm sick of ****ty flash games people seem to praise just because they compiled it for PC rather than release it ad supported on a website like Kongregate.
