Something to worry about for Mighty No. 9 ...

#1ECOsvaldoPosted 9/2/2013 12:54:36 PM
Being a fan of the old-style Mega Man and X games, when I found out about Inafune's Mighty No. 9, I jumped right away and made a pledge. But now, I just thought of a couple of things that could hinder the development of the game or stop it completely:

1. Capcom will file a lawsuit for copyright infringement to halt or stop production of Mighty No. 9

2. Capcom will purchase the complete rights to Mighty No. 9 and have Comcept change it to a next-gen Mega Man game

3. Capcom will purchase Comcept, stop production of Mighty No. 9 and dissolve the company

Anyone else worried?

4. Could have gone in the thread dedicated to the Kickstarter where people have already discussed this.

Fail to see how they could win a lawsuit considering none of their owned IPs or other copyrighted code, names, characters etc. are being used in the game.

I don't see why Comcept would let them? Didn't Inafune himself found it, and create the IP?

TC is clearly oblivious to what copyright infringement is.

This post shows you have no idea what you are talking about but somehow feel confident enough to talk about it like you do.
