Windows 8 Volume Problem

#1Neo VejiitaPosted 9/5/2013 3:40:21 AM
I've just encountered a rather annoying problem. When I plug my headphones or external speakers into my laptop the volume sets itself to 42. If I turn it up it is fine, but if I ever restart the laptop or unplug and plug the headphones or speakers it sets the volume back to 42 again.

I've set it to "Do Nothing" in the Sound > Communications tab.

Has anybody else encountered anything like this?

It's so that it's loud enough for the government to listen to you

Bump.

I tried installing the newest Realtek HD Audio drivers from Realtek's website but it didn't help...The volume still adjusts itself down to 42 whenever I plug anything in.
