So I've got these folders I can't delete.

I've got 3 folders on my C: and two folders on my external hard drive that I can't delete. They look like this: http://i.imgur.com/C0e2AMg.png

And contain stuff like this: http://i.imgur.com/mYgS0y4.png

Are these critical folders? If not, how do I delete them?

Those look like temporary folders from a windows update. After the update is done you can delete them. Have you tried restarting your PC? You could also try deleting them while in safe mode (press f8 as your PC is booting).

I can't delete them because it says I don't have permission. I'm the only user on my computer so obvioulsy I have administrator access, but I can't delete these folders.

One reason why you might not have permission is because one or more files in the folder is in use so it created a lock to prevent you from deleting the folder. This is why it was suggested that you try restarting. The file may no longer be used after restarting thereby releasing the lock and allowing you to delete the folder.
