okay thanks, and on a side note, they are saying battlifield 4 is not 1080p it will be running at 720p, what the hell is that, wow that is the same settings for the xbox 360 and ps3, so i guess the new consoles are not as powerful as everyone thought.

The 360 version only supports 24 players and has settings lower than PC's lowest. The next-gen versions will be like the PC version. At that low resolution, the next-gen versions better run everything else at high

It'll also take a long time for games to be optimized for the next-gen consoles. The leap from Uncharted 1 to Uncharted 3 took four years to achieve.

Don't get sucked into the hype of a new generation of consoles. Take a close look at the games and see if any of them are games you REALLY have to play right now. Otherwise, wait until a game or more comes out that are games you really want to play and then buy one.

I am still debating if i want the new consoles, i have a i7 920 clocked to 3.7ghz and a gtx 680sc 9 gigs ddr3 and hpzr 30w at 1600p. I really want to try out the ps4 or xbox one, but not sure if its worth it?

check the expects of both and multiply the console expects by 2 1/2, consoles do more whit less hardware due to optimization and ligth OS, any console fan saying no pc will match a PS4 is wrong, but so is a pc fan that compares a PS4 whit the same PC hardware.

This is dumb. Do you want a console? Buy one. Processor comparison is of no importance as they are completely different.

The 920 is still leagues better. Leagues.

This. The consoles are both using low end CPU's designed for Netbooks last I heard

This is why I saw people asking how could the PS3 run Uncharted 2 whit only 256 MB of ram a few years ago.

The only reason to get the PS4 is if you want to play games that are only on the PS4 or console in general.

So if you want to play games like Kingdom Hearts 3, MGS 5, or whatever Sony exclusives there are then you might want one. Still, that's a lot of money for a handful of games.

Pretty much this. A next gen console is similar to ~3 year old PC hardware.

I would not base my decision on which platform to play on based on slight graphical advantages... at all. Regardless of which platform that advantage goes to. For example, the gaming library and default input device is more important to me personally.

I think examples like sub 720p @30fps vs 1200p @ 60+fps and things like particle effects and reflectve surfaces as well as higher player counts. are a bit more than slight advantages,

And default inteface doesn't matter especially now more than ever seeing as almost every single game now supports gamepads (with some ridiculous reason excepting Mass Effect series) and if they don't there's xpadder.

It really comes down to 1st party and exclusives. Seeing as KH3 and MGSV and Dead Rising 3 are all coming to XBone I'm getting that. But i will keep my PC up to date as well.

I have a slightly better setup than TS with an i7 930 and 770 but this is what I am going to do.

This generation I own all 4 major platforms, PC, 360, PS3, and Wii. Now that I look back, it was a huge waste of money, even though I got to play ALL the awesome exclusives.

This time I am just going to get the PS4 and then get an adapter that lets me use the far superior (that's right) 360 controller on it. Something like this -> http://www.amazon.com/HDE%C2%AE-Xbox-Playstation-Controller-Adapter/dp/B007SO06O6

That way I get to play Sony's excellent exclusives with an excellent controller and I will still get to play many of the 360 games on PC.

The only thing I can forsee missing at the moment is Dead Rising 3.
