I really could ask a bunch of questions to try and help you, but no. Not dealing with this bull****.

So here's a very friendly bump.

... ok well then so what would be better for gaming?

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202025

HD 7870 or NVIDIA 650TI BOOSTED SUPERCLOCKED

and what would be better?

ATI FX -8350 or INTEL i5 3570K

trying to max games like bf3/4 and gta

3570K and I'm not sure about the GPU.

Really? why do all the benchmarks shows the 8350 being significantly better in gaming than the 3570k?

ATI FX -8350 or INTEL i5 3570K

in benchmarks it shows the 8350 being a bit faster they are both the same price which should I go with for gaming?

ok going with the i5 and the 7870 now what $100 motherboard is decent? not really looking to OC majorly maybe a bit here and there but really just want a decent dependable motherboard for $100 that supports this cpu.

I was looking at this:

You can't overclock with that board, you need a z77 for Ivy bridge.

No It makes absolutely no difference what combination of GPU/CPU you use from any brand. If a company actually did that they would just end up shooting themselves in the foot because everyone under the sun would know they were basically hamstringing their products on purpose so they only work with their brand. Essentially pushing everybody away from their video cards AND their CPU's. So ya these companies aren't that stupid.

They actually did do it.

Not sure when, some time between 2007 and 2009, only AMD cards worked with AMD processors. If you used an nVidia card, it would get almost no performance at all and would crash repeatedly.

Not sure when it ended, probably when AMD became a joke when comparing performance with Intel.

If you don't care about overclocking, then you should still get an i5, but perhaps not the 3570K, just the regular 3570 instead. Then the motherboard doesn't matter as long as it's compatible with the CPU and has the features you want (B75, H77 or Z77 motherboards will all work).
If you think you might change your mind later about overclocking, then you should consider getting the 3570K and a Z77 motherboard.
You could also look into the newer Haswell CPUs (i5-4670/4670K) with a B75, H77 or Z87 motherboard.
