going with a 27 inch monitor, and trying to decided between the 2 brands. I heard QNIX has crappy bases for the monitor. There are 3 different x-star monitors on ebay it seems. One says "matte", one says "perfect pixel", and the other is "glossy"

Which is the better one to get?

I just got a Qnix this week. Came in matte, didn't really care which it came in as I ordered it from MiseMet on Amazon. I sit in the dark most of the time anyways so glossy wouldn't really matter.

Pixel perfect is a marketing gimmick. Trust me on dis one.

Stand is fine for the Qnix, ofc it's not a Dell stand or anything and has no real options but you're more or less paying for the panel and everything else comes extra.

Amazing either way, they use the same panel and you can't really go wrong with either.

They are essentially the same although I have read that the x-star does not require you to take off the bezel to replace the stand which may be a plus. Although removing the bezel on the qnix was so easy that it really wasn't a big deal anyway.

Have the Qnix myself. No dead pixels and no blacklight bleed. Overclocks to 120hz. It's an amazing looking monitor with a great price.

Not terrible but is slightly noticeable on a black screen. For the price I can't complain as I've had worse bleed from name brands here.

This. It's pretty bad in the bottom left corner but next week I'm opening it up to remove the stand and will hopefully use the tape mod to fix it.
