Seriously. What could possibly make one of those laptops better at taking notes than any of the others?

If you want something solely for note taking get the cheapest, probably the best not to bring anything to valuable to school or work or whatever you need it for.

I'd rather type my notes then write in pen or pencil . . . if you really want to go that odd route fine which would the better for gaming? . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Get the smallest/lightest out of those. They will all handle taking notes quite well.
I never heard of Avatar though, so avoid it or at least research extensively before buying.

Smallest, lightest, cheapest, and best battery life should be your priority will answer you're question. I used a 17.5 in to take notes in my business classes. Now I use it for heavy gaming. I wanted it for heavy gaming though.

I do have a little bit of scoliosis but the heaviest of those I listed (albeit through a picture) is about 4.08 pounds the lightest is a pound lighter (3.08 or so). I'd rather a little larger screen and a little more screen real estate.
