So, a friend of mine says PS4 and Xbone are stronger than 7990 and Titan

I don't see the point in making fun of your friends on a message board. If anything, it just looks like you're wanting to see a reaction out the community without getting blamed for a thought.

You've never made fun of one of your friends for saying something stupid?

Not behind their back in the most petty way possible, no.

Why are you guys even comparing a $400 complete gaming system to $1,000 graphics cards anyways? Just the fact that you're having the conversation means the PS4 wins by default.

He said that to me, and I was like, wait a sec, what are you saying? And he kept going with all that nonsense.

Hocket is just upset because if he had friends, he wouldn't subject them to any mistreatment. Zing!

Maybe he meant coded in assembly? Even if, coding games or game engines in assembly is putting a ridiculous amount of trust in the developers to write their assembly better than a C++ compiler can convert c++ to binary. Not something that is even worth the time or effort unless it's for specific breakpoints.

NO way, even tanking into accounts consoles perform 2X betetr than a pc whit the same hawrdware, unless the PS4 was fueled by magic, no way it will be stroinger than a tiutan

I didn' said that, that's taken from the links I posted which my friend sent me. New consoles are going to be powerful, but to say that they can outperform a Titan or 7990, even 7950 or 7970 is lolworthy

Your friend is nuts, even on the PS4 board's sticky it says that the PS4 GPU is comparable to the 7850. Down the line the PS4 will out perform any PC on that card due to optimization, even though optimization wont make as much of a difference as before because they're both running x86 architecture, but it still will, but I doubt it will ever out perform the 7990 or Titan.

The PS4 will have possibility to be coded at metal level which will generate another amount of extra performance over DirectX.

It's not "metal level" but I get the sentiment. I'll give him that one, since it is true. The consoles have one hardware configuration, which eliminates the need for the extra level of abstraction known as DirectX.

We have the APU-HSA design on the PS4. This implies that the CPU can help to the GPU in situations of extreme load, unlike what happens in the PC where CPU and GPU work separately and can bottleneck the other.

I don't think this means what he thinks it means..

Finally we have the unified GDDR5 memory design, which avoids the bottlenecks associated to the PCI and DDR3.
Combining all of the above, I think that the effective graphics performance of the PS4 would be about 5x the base 1.84 TFLOP.

This gives a theoretical value of 9.2 TFLOP for a discrete graphics card in the PC side, which is superior to what can offer the newest HD 7990 and far beyond the GTX titan.

It means you can code games without an API layer (like DirectX or OpenGL) between it and the hardware. Theoretically you can optimize the code to its fullest ability of the hardware, but it will also be a lot more challenging to make games this way.
