this topic doesnt make sense, i have been using settings on ultra on everygame i own on a 1600p monitor, forget a lousy 1080p, the titan will easily, easily keep up with all settings maxed out, hell even my gtx 580sc was set to ultra all the time at 1600p before i got the 680sc.

Let's clarify "maxing" here. Maxing is every single slider to max (including max AA), at the native resolution of your monitor(s) and keeping a max frame rate that your monitor can handle. Hence the descriptive term "max". So, with that being said, there is no way in hell you could completely max Metro Last Light or Crysis 3 with any single GPU @1080p, let alone 1600p.

So, you are telling me that you can run Metro Last Light on ALL ultra settings including max AA at 1600p and keep a consistent 60+fps without ever dropping frames at all?

I'm calling complete and total bs. Not possible.

all sliders to the right but at 35fps on metro and crysis 3.

Crysis 3 and Metro are exceptions. Most people don't aim to max them.

Max AA is just silly.

What part of 35fps says "max" to you. Your monitor's resolution has a max of 60fps minimum. So you are not maxing the game. That is half of max. You are "halfing" M:LL and Crysis 3.

No.Max AA is a relevant setting. Just as all other settings are. It's just very demanding. Do you turn it down on games that can handle it at 60fps? No, you don't because it looks better. It still does not change the definition of "max"

I'm not arguing with you. I'm flat out telling you, you are wrong. "good enough for you" is not "max".
