all sliders to the right but at 35fps on metro and crysis 3.

That's about what I get (average might be higher, but it does go down to ~35fps often) in Crysis 3 completely maxed out with 8xMSAA at 1080p. Metro:LL maxed with 4xSSAA is even worse.

Bub you could step up to a way better monitor at 1600p with that titan, never understood y this generation wants to settle for less and not the best.

Crysis 3 and Metro are exceptions. Most people don't aim to max them.

Max AA is just silly.

No.Max AA is a relevant setting. Just as all other settings are. It's just very demanding. Do you turn it down on games that can handle it at 60fps? No, you don't because it looks better. It still does not change the definition of "max"

Actually, I just set AA to the least acceptable setting because it makes no difference to me. With just 2x-4xAA, I never notice any jaggies and that's good enough for me.

Believe me, I understand what you're saying, but I use a Sharp Elite LED, which to me is about as good all-around (minus pixel density) picture quality as I can get at the moment without going with the new Panasonic ZT plasma series.

Actually, it's not all that important, unless you're playing at a low resolution. The higher you go, the less it's needed. Jaggies eliminate themselves as there are more pixels to make up the image.

ITP: The most demanding games are excluded from the definition of maxing to support the ability to say "I can max everything!!" When you really can't.

True. But at 1080p, on a bigger screen (I game on a 55" LED) it is MUCH needed as screen size greatly affects the spread of those extra pixels. So, in my case, AA makes a pretty huge difference. Discounting it to say you can max everything is not the way it works.

When fully maxing said games is not even possible or requires absolutely absurd setups, excluding them makes a lot of sense.
