I've heard some other rumors that the 880 will come out in February or March, in which case the wait is only 5 or 6 months. Given the new architecture, the 5GB of VRAM it's supposed to have, and the fact that the price will be less than or equal to that of the 780 (at the time of posting) I'm thinking I will just wait for the 880 to come out. As excited as I am about upgrading from my 560 Ti, being patient should prove to be worthwhile.
Does anyone know if only having 8GB of RAM or an i5-2400 at 3.10 GHz will matter? From what I understand there's not much difference between an i5 and i7 for gaming, and 8GB of RAM is more than enough for the majority of games, but if I need to upgrade to get the most out of the 880 I'm willing to do so when the time comes. --- The world gets weirder every day.
