If I were to upgrade my GTX 760 soon, better value to go dual or 780?

If I did go dual, would I need the exact same brand?

SLI configurations only require the same GPU (760 + 760). They do not have to be the same brand.

It is better to wait for the 800 series. Although upgrading to a 780 would give the biggest jump in single card performance.

It really isn't worth it to get a 780 if you already have a 760. To SLI you only need to make sure that they're both 760s.

If you're going to give the 760 to me, yes.

If you're not, not worth it.

I would go with a second 760 if you really, really want to upgrade now unless you can get a good price for selling your 760 to bring the cost of the 780 down a bit. The 800 series isn't due to release until February or March of 2014, so take that into account to your decision.
