One at home, two at work. I can't even imagine how irritating I'd find a bezel in the middle of my screen while gaming...

I used to use my 37" tv but I switched to a 27" 1440p, I still keep the 1080p hooked up for videos and stuff.

2, currently a basic 1080P 23,6"" asus that I use for practically everything, very soon replaced by viewsonic 23,6" 120hz screen. And then my PC is also hooked to my 40" samsung 1080P TV that I use for movies and such.
If brute force doesn't fix the problem, you're not using enough of it.

2 monitors is for multitasking, productivity or having two different types of displays (i.e monitor & tv). For gaming you use 3 matching monitors for Eyefinity/Surround.

1 each.

I have 2 gaming PC setups. 1 in the living room hooked to a 55" LED for controller based games and 1 desktop setup hooked to a 27" LED in my spare room for KB/M games. I don't like bezels, so I just go for one HQ monitor for each of my setups.
