What year did you/your family first get a computer?

Also, what was your first computer game?

I was born in 1981. My mom had a PC in the early 90s for her job, however our first family computer was purchased around 94/95 just before Windows 95 hit the market. It was a compaq desktop (can't recall the model).

FIrst game was the shareware version of Wolfenstein 3D and some included windows 3.1 games liike Chips Challenge and SkiFree.

We didn't have a pc until 2001, which is odd because my dad had been a programmer for a long time by then. Need For Speed Hot Pursuits, some kind of commando/apache helicopter 2D game, a Sega bundle, I remember it way too well. Then something happened to XP very shortly after so we used Linux. Rocks'n'Diamonds, Sokoban, etc. The feels man, the feels.

We had a computer as long as I can remember. My dad works with computers so it wasn't odd that we had one at home. I remember we first had Windows 95 then 98 a few years later.

Our first family computer was back in the early 80's. My dad was always an early adopter of technology. I remember having a tandy 25mhz desktop but I know we had one before that, just not the exact model or year we got it.

Had one as long as I can remember, I'm 24 now. My first game was Battle Chess for DOS (I was 5), but I also used to watch my dad play Wolfenstein, Aces of the Deep, Flying Fortress and such.

Hmm I feel like I've played that somewhere but the game I remember was starcraft style. I just realized the commando part was a separate game ( commando behind enemy lines).

I want to say my first one that I remember using was probably around... 95/96 maybe? I know it was before I moved to the US in 2000. And the first 2 games I had were Read Write and Type, and Gizmo's and Gadgets.

If it really was an RTS game like what SC is then it would have many units. The only games that come to my mind that have helicopters in are...

Command and conquer
Rise of Nations
L.E.D wars.
