Only thing I'm excited next-gen for is Oculus Rift. If devs add support for this, I might just get a console.

Instead of the treadmill, the Kinect could be used for moving and aiming.

Since most console games also get a PC release these days, the main reason to get one is for exclusive games that you want that you cannot get anywhere else.

PC plus PS3 with a side of Nintendo is the way to go.

PS4 imo. I think it will have the more numerous and better exclusives in the long run. Maybe a Wii U is you really want the exclusives but it seems that third party support is dying and who knows if Nintendo games by themselves is enough to buy one.

Depends on exclusives, but PS4 or WiiU.

For me? PS4 first, then an Xbone. Wife has a Wii U otherwise I wouldn't have one of those in my house.

A WiiU will provide the most diversity. You'll get games on it that you absolutely won't get on PC, PS4, or 360. If Exclusives are what you're looking for, WiiU is the way to go. If the "fun" games aren't your thing, PS3 had better exclusives than 360, so I'd suggest a PS4 (assuming you mean next gen.)

WiiU makes the most sense, as it won't have all the multi-platform games that will be on PC/PS4/Bone, plus it will have all the first party games and weird GamePad-centric games that won't appear anywhere else.

Of course, at the moment, there's no reason to get any of the consoles. I rushed into buying a WiiU and an Ouya, and I'm definitely feeling the early adoption remorse.
