Want to confirm something real quick

I am trying to set up at TV as a monitor but quite frankly I can't read a damn thing hardly with the TV at native res and things like my right click menu and browser tabs are quite tiny. After flipping through my TV manual It say to use HDMI-DVI. I am currently using an HDMI-HDMI for the connection. Would switching to HDMI-DVI help me at all or am I just SOL in terms of using this TV as a monitor?

Native Res is 1920x1080
Model is Magnavox 26ME402V

I thank you all in advance.

It's not going to make a difference.

What did you expect? Do you think 1080p will look the same two feet away as ten? That's silly.

Change the resolution and use zoom on everything or stop being a peasant and do things right

Use 720p for normal usage but 1080p for games.
