Been a console gamer since '94, Just got a decent PC. What to Play?
Glad people have mentioned Freespace 2. If you're gonna play that game, do yourself a favor and grab the open source upgrades. It'll make a game made in 1999 look like one that was made in 2010.

Most of those 'exclusives' are also con consoles.
Are you replying to a particular poster, or everyone who posted suggestions? Your bizarre and misplaced smugness suggests the latter, in which case you are wrong. Aside from two posters' lists, most of the games mentioned are indeed PC exclusive, and most of the multiplatform games mentioned are still PC-centric which is just as good as being PC exclusive.

Now do your own research please.

The best thing to do is to wait until a steam sale. Then look at all of the games that go down in price. Read the store page to decide if you like it, and make a list of all the ones you are interested in. Then either do research on the games yourself, or check this board to see if there are any topics about the sales. We'll probably be discussing what is good and what isn't. If you need to you can make a new topic and just basically ask us "Are these three games any good?".
You've already said you will get Fallout and System Shock 2, great choices. I'd also suggest the Half-Life games and Deus Ex. Being a console gamer you may have played the Half-Life games (The first one was on PS2, with the second game and it's episodes on 360/PS3), and Deus Ex: Human Revolution (Haven't played it, know next to nothing about it. Hear many mixed things about it versus the first game).
Thought seriously, the steam sales are a great way to get a lot of games. They have a fall sale that is coming up soon, right? Fallout 1 & 2 and System Shock 2 should be able to hold you off until then depending on how time you spend gaming.
Every Pony is best Pony, Fluttershy is just my favorite.
Do it and do it right!
Civilization, Jagged Alliance, Heroes of Might and Magic, Stalker, Company of Heroes, Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, The Sims.
That's a few to get you started. Know that not all PC games are on Steam. You can't just load up steam and have access to everything.

I've played a couple.
Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 1942 are a must play for a shooter fan.
Roller Coaster Tycoon 1 & 2 are both amazing games.
Castle Crashers is hard to recommend on PC, As the 360 version is much better IMO.
Call Of Duty 1, 2 and i think 3 is on PC, All good.
FF7 had a Steam port last year, So for RPGs, That's a good one.
Worms Revolution and Worms 3D are strategy/shooters. Hard to understand at first though.
Ducktales Remastered is on PC, Haven't heard about it on PC as i played it on 360.
Mirror's Edge is a First person action game, Which i think deserves a lot of credit.
That should satisfy just about anyone.
