Two of the same monitors or a 1440p with a 1680x1050?

Currently I am running a 1680x1050 as my 1920x1080 died a few months go. So I am left with a decision and not sure what to really do. All I know is I want two monitors and my current rig is strong enough to run each of the set-ups below well.

I can either get 2x: Dell U2312HM and game on both or one depending on how I feel.

or

I can take my chances on one of those Korean monitors that are 2560x1440 as my main and use this 1680 as my 2nd one to mess around.

Well the 1680x1050 monitor is operational. So get the 1440p.

Gaming on 2 monitors is not ideal. 1 or 3 are better options.

Wouldn't getting two be better for multitasking though?

Yes, but you don't need two monitors that are the same size. So just get the 1440p monitor in addition to your current one. Only when gaming on multiple monitors do you truly need the same size.

I hate to be "that guy" but with monitors, you more or less get what you pay for. A 1440p 27-inch monitor for $330 raises my eyebrows. They had to use cheap parts to get the price so low. If you want to go 1440p, I think it's better to go with something like the ASUS PB278Q, where you know that there's an established manufacturer behind it, and it's less likely to develop problems.
