I haven't been keeping up much with the numbers of which GeForce series matches which Radeon series. I just replaced my processor with the 8350 and am looking to spend no more than $350 on a video card upgrade. It doesn't bother me too much whether it's Nvidia or AMD, but I'd like something that's a noticeable upgrade. That said, what would be a noticeable upgrade from the Radeon 6850? Thanks, guys.

EDIT: Power supply is 650w, so let me know, too, if it'd need to increase with the new card?

For the money this is probably going to be your best bet at this point in time. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-hd7970dc23gd5 there are cheaper 7970 models as well. Plus 3 free games, cant go wrong

Yeah I looked at that one, too. I like that it has so many HDMI ports (currently have two monitors set up but my 6850 only has one HDMI so I have to connect one through the pc connect, whatever it's called. VGA?) Thanks for the help. How much of a difference will I notice between it and the 6850?

These benchmarks only show the 6870 compared to it, but yeah as you can see it will destroy it. http://www.legionhardware.com/articles_pages/amd_radeon_hd_7970,4.html

Which model and make is your power supply as well. 650w doesn't tell us anything.
