It's clear that consoles have surpassed PC's. The new consoles flawlessly can run BF4 based on optimization alone while PCs with $400 GPUs still struggle to run a FPS.

Pretty bad, it is less than the recommended specs. You should get a second card, then you will have way more vram than required.

Lol, great job

My sig is also satirical. And any time I do poorly in an online video game, I tell my team I wasn't being serious.

Lol, no.

Notice that the minimum specs are pretty much the same ad BF3. Also notice that the cards that are recommended are pretty rarely have anything over 2GB.

No doubt having a lot of Vram will help with some particular graphical options, and certainly it helps a ton if you want to play at a resolution higher than 1080p. But it is likely that you will be fine with 2Gb, even if that might mean that some of the options that make use of Vram need to be dialed down. Also note that in BF3, if you played on a higher resolution and on max settings, you can easily already go over 2GB Vram. Yet 1Gb Vram cards played it very well, and was generally enough for playing on 1080p with some settings lightly lowered.

I think that people are too caught up in Vram at the moment. It is like the new buzz word in PC hardware. Having less Vram is not nearly a big of a deal as people think it is when gaming at normal resolutions.

I was looking at the recommended specs for BF4 and it states that it recommends 3gb of ram and gtx 660.

I have a GTX 680 but it is only 2 gb of ram. Any idea of how it will run on this card?

If this is a serious question....
it recommends 3gbs of RAM, not VRAM, that means that if you have 3GB or more of SYSTEM RAM, as well as gtx 660 or higher, you will be fine. You have a 680. You'll be fine

It recommends 8gbs of RAM, 3gbs of VRAM. Unless I am not seeing that this is another joke post.
