With Battlefield 4 coming out real soon, my friend is looking to upgrade his 4-year old gaming PC. I said that I'd price out the parts and help build it for him. His criteria:
- Must be an Intel processor (hates AMD for some reason) - Must be able to overclock the processor to 4+ Ghz - No SSD drives (wants to have all his games installed on the same drive Windows is on) - Needs a DVD drive (has a lot of his Steam and Origin games backed up) - Must have a Radeon card (believes all new games will be optimized more since the next-gen consoles are AMD-based) - No more than $1,000 to spend on all parts
Here's what I came up with: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/1Cd7o
Guess what he said? The build is not good enough! WHAT!?!? Does anyone see anything wrong with this build?
