How does anyone afford 8 GB of RAM??
It's almost like having 8GB of GDDR5!!
Intel Core i7 3820 | EVGA X79 SLI K2 | MSI 7950 Twin Frozr III | Samsung / 840 120GB / 8GB RAM | 1TB WD Caviar Blue | Corsair / 550D / H70 | Silencer MKIII 600W
I like the one review it has
Pros: This ram is amazing! I was skipping work to wait for the UPS man when I heard the doorbell. I went to answer the door and it was the UPS man with my ram. Immediately the box opened itself and the ram floated out. It then teleported me to Europa's underwater ocean, which is actually home to the most intelligent species in the universe. They showed me the future and how this RAM is responsible for SKYNET becoming self aware. Upon returning to Earth, I plugged this ram into my computer turning me into Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Cons: Doesn't include a Ferrari with every purchase.
Other Thoughts: Visit Europa
Watch the birth of AI
Turn into Arnnie
Sounds like a winner to me

theres recently been a price hike is ram prices. ram like that used to be dirt cheap. people used to have so much ram they could build houses out of it.

Can someone explain or conceptualise for me why these particular RAM sticks are so goddamn much.
Much like the Single review there, i expect nothing less for the price they're asking.

Wow, DDR3 3100, I've never seen that. Tad little tiny bit overpriced though!

Not sure about TC's RAM, but the one in this link is handmade and tested:
But as you can see, performance increases are usually minimal. Or non-existent. Seems like they're kinda geared to be used as a benchmark for the stability of other stuff, like CPU's, considering the chips are hand-binned and all.

I've never tried overclocking RAM, but could you just get 2400 RAM for $80-100 and overclock it to 3200? Also does it really make a difference?
It's unlikely you'd get stable 3200mhz RAM from a 2400mhz kit.
