$1000 to build a gaming PC

#1walkswithnogardPosted 9/12/2013 9:16:37 AM
I have $1000 and I want to build a gaming PC. Preferably around Black Friday so I can get stuff cheap. I've never built a PC before and I want the best parts for the money. Also I would want a laptop, but if a desktop is considerably cheaper then I would go that route as well.

Do you need a monitor, Windows, mouse, and keyboard, or just the PC itself?

$935, should run almost anything without problems at 1080p.

Good build, except the case doesn't have front USB 3.0 ports, and the mobo supports it, so it's kind of a waste. Swap out the case for one that does.

Yeah, I know. I just always put that in there because it's a pretty reasonable price, so it's a decent placeholder in case it would need/want to be switched out for whatever reason, and I really like mine.
