best motherboard to pair with a 4930k

Before the 4930k came out I was looking at the asus rampage iv extreme but now the evga dark is out and looks promising. Thoughts?

Because EVGA's current motherboards suck, nothing more to it.

Gonna drop almost $1500 for features you probably won't use.

Just get a 4770k and a nice Gigabyte board and call it a day and save a thousand bucks.

I only said this because I know for a fact he doesn't do heavy computing. Unless you are encoding a lot of crap on a daily basis it does not pay to get an extreme CPU.

If he wants to buy it based purely on aesthetics that is fine (silly IMO). But sometimes people don't realize you can get the performance you need and want for a fraction of the price.
