looking for a good survival horror

I'm looking for a game kinda like Outlast and Amnesia but maybe even the game from the movie: Stay Alive. Something with a good, thoughtful story, a mystery kinda like Myst, intriguing characters, and engaging horror.

Is there any game like this? Thanks.

Eternal Darkness sounds kinda like what you're describing, but it's a Gamecube game.

Anyone have any suggestions? They don't have to be new games or anything.

ADD, no. Where is the thread for Fallout OCD players?

They don't really make games like that because kids don't have the attention spans for anything but fast and frantic action twich games.

Alone in the Dark (the first one and the original survival horror game)
Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth
Clive Barker's Undying
(a bit more actiony but still atmospheric)
System Shock 2
MSI Z77A-GD55 | Intel Core i7-3770K | Kingston HyperX 8GB | EVGA GeForce GTX 680 4GB

EDIT: ^Great games in the post above this one. It doesn't have the hiding mechanics, but AITD 1 is awesome.

The first two Penumbra games, if you haven't played them already. You could also give Haunting Ground for PS2 a whirl.

Silent Hill 2 has all that but it's not scary, IMO anyway. Still one of my favorite games though.
If you believe in Cthulhu and are 100% proud, put this in your sig.
