So these are the problems:

Running loud
Getting really hot
Occasionally shutting down during game play and an error saying Asus detected a power surge and automatically shut down.

The only two fans are the one on the PSU and the one on the CPU.

Is the problem a lack of fans? There's a hole on the side and a hole on the back I assume I can put fans in. Would more fans mean they don't need to spin as fast so it'll be quieter? Is Asus just thinking it's a power surge but it's really just overheating the PSU?

Uh... What should I do?

You don't have a fan on the back of your computer drawing air out? What case do you have?

Case is NZXT 210 Elite

There's no fans except the PSU's and on the CPU.

Well there's the issue. You need case fans to move the air through the case to keep things cool.

It sounds like your PC is overheating and shutting down as a safety precaution. To verify that, you really need to download a program that can monitor temps while performing a stress test (I like AIDA64 for this purpose, and you can use it free for 30 days just to see if this is your problem.)

If your PC is too hot, definitely want to get some case fans going for better airflow. If the case doesn't allow room for them, it may be time for a new case.

Did you take the other fans out?

The NZXT case should have a top fan and back fan out of the box.

Did your heatsink come with thermal paste pre-applied?

Also, you should be able to disable anti-surge support in the BIOS and see if the unit still shuts down.

Do you have a dedicated graphics card?

The 210 Elite should come with a rear exhaust fan. Where'd you get the case? Sounds like they ripped you off.
