If a laptop is the same price, should I buy on Newegg, Amazon, or Best Buy?

For something expensive, I would never buy it online. I am the shipping and receiving manager at my work and we have a daily ups and FedEx drop off. The condition some of the boxes that comes in just plain looks like ass (the bad way). The driver tells me their loaders just don't care since they get paid min wage for very tough job.

Not to mention if you have the package ship to your house, you have to be careful of people stealing your packages. Always ship to your work if at all possible.

Buying instore isn't really an option for big power laptops like this. In all the stores near me (and I live an hour outside NYC, so there are lots), I only find entry level or sleep business laptops, no gaming ones.

And package stealing isn't really an issue where I live.

Ehh, I found the exact same laptop on tiger direct 300$ cheaper than on newegg, so I doubt free shipping will make up for that

I'm more asking about if people have had bad experiences with their reliability or speed or customer service, not really cost.

Again, people - You DO owe tax on the physical goods you're buying. Just because Newegg or Amazon don't collect it for you does not mean the government doesn't expect it to be collected. It's called a "use tax" versus the "sales tax" you're used to.

Please - Keep your receipts, bring them to H&R Block or wherever, and stop being criminal scum.

I'll throw in my two cents here:

If it's the same price everywhere, the differences boil down like this.

1. Online, you have to ship it back to them within 30 days and open an RMA. Best Buy, you can pop back into the store and do it there.
2. As far as warranties go, I would definitely geek squad is the more reputable (albeit more expensive) option, as opposed to Squaretrade. Squaretrade, from what I've heard, is a NIGHTMARE to actually get them to make a claim on the product.
3. Best Buy has other things like the rewardzone and all that, to my knowledge amazon does not.

Now, I will say that I've heard stories about how other Best Buy employees seem to be incompetent (I work for BB, but I tend to think I'm the exception; I build my own computers and can tell you why a 660 ti would beat out a lot of other video cards), so try to do your research and go in having an idea of what you want. It's not to say you won't get someone that's helpful, but I just don't want to see you get bad info.
