What kind of budget do you have for your new card? The good news is, it won't be too expensive to get a better card than your 8300.

Probably like 100-150 is as high as I could go.

Radeon 7770 is probably the best bang for your buck in that range. 650 Ti is worth a look too.

The 7770 seems nice. How do I make sure it fits my tower?

That's 149.99 after rebates at the moment.

Now I just need to know if my tower/power supply can accommodate these cards.

I'm on the PC Parts Picker site, and the cards are compatible with my CPU. But my case is a Dell Dimension 9200, and I can't find that on there. I DO have a 6 pin connector for my power supply, but it only puts out 375 watts.

You'll need a new power supply. As for the case, just measure the dimensions and compare them with the video card's, which can be found online.

That's a heck of a sale!

However, even with the sale I would still not buy it from Newegg. Their RMA process sucks, frankly. Found out the hard way when I went through it recently, and it took 2 weeks before I had a replacement.

Should just barely fit dimensionally, but the power supply bit is disheartening. I'm already pushing my budget with the card. Needing a power supply too sucks. I also don't want to mess around with my tower too much, as I have literally no idea what I'm doing beyond a few tutorials I've watched. I don't want to mess something up and need a new PC entirely(which wouldn't be a bad idea if I had the cash/could get a payment plan from somewhere on a pre-build). It's a 7 year old computer. I'm lucky it can run the games it does.

I'm pretty sure MANY people would disagree.

Replacing a couple parts is very straightforward and doesn't require any knowledge.

What CPU are you using?

That's fine, and if they got a DOA video card, MANY people would go through what I did and learn to get it someplace else with a more progressive RMA process.
