Samsung monitor looks blurry after using HDMI cable

#1King PazuzuPosted 9/13/2013 1:02:23 PM
So my 30 pin monitor broke and I replaced it with an HDMI cable. MY GPU is an AMD 6950. The text is almost unreadable even with clear-type and after adjusting it on Windows 7. Also my gaming performance might have dropped (but not sure if thats because of that since I havent played any for a while).

Any ideas?

The overscan in AMD CCC might be messing with it. Open up CCC, click "My Digital Flat Panels" and then check "Scaling Options"

There might be something in the monitor's OSD labeled 'focus', give that a try.

And tell me if you're using any adapters for your HDMI.

It's apparently a common issue and I never figured out how to fix it. My suggestion is that you get a DVI to HDMI cable, connect the DVI end to the card, the HDMI end to the monitor and it should work flawlessly. It's something to do with the card and the drivers.

Thanks. I'am not using any cables.
I've googles and a lot of people have that problem. Iam using the HDMI/DVI input too.
