Well now we know why it's cheaper. Lol.

I'm extremely happy with my evga 1300 g2. Great price and super flower is giving seasonic a run for their money.

I also have a Super Flower PSU based on the GoldenGreen platform (Rosewill Capstone 550M) Modular and 80+ Gold Rated.

The Kingwin Lazer Gold and the NZXT Hale90 are also SuperFlower GoldenGreen units.

Not even remotely comparable.

Hopefully the ripple is better than other units from that OEM.

I wouldn't worry about it, HiPro / Chicory isn't actually one of the better PSU makers.

I still think Corsair should of stuck with SeaSonic or Channel Well like they have in the past instead of going with a less notable OEM.

I just want to clarify that Corsair doesn't make their own PSU's they get OEM supplies from other companies and rebrand them as their own. Many PSU brand sellers do this.

For example all Antec units are either SeaSonic or CWT, The Earthwatts line for example was made by Delta.

All of XFX's PSU's are rebranded SeaSonic units. Some Rosewill PSUs are rebranded Super Flower units. Same for Kingwin, NZXT, and Sentey. PC Power and Cooling also uses SeaSonic for an OEM.

The brand name isn't important, It's WHO actually created the PSU, what capacitors they use, etc. That is what is important.
