Are they still using Seasonic? Cause that is all I will ever buy... Or PC power and cooling.

PCP&P are all seasonics nowadays from what I recall.

Yes -- PC P&C never made a PSU, their best units back in the day were Seasonic, their current good units are Seasonic, and as of a few years ago the company is owned by OCZ.

disappointing. having components selected to reduce noise is a very nice feature, but I wouldn't want one of these junkers eating away at my system.

The 1000W looks like yet another CWT PUC unit to me, not a Chicony. Not sure about the others.

Lol, how would powersupply brand have any effect on performance/quality? It provides power, they all have to function exactly the same.

You have much to learn! If brand doesn't matter and all that matters is providing power, why do you think people recommend not to buy turds from Diablotek, Logisys, Coolmax and their ilk?

Let me guess. You think wattage is the only thing that matters right?

Looks like you might need this book (refer to chapter 4)

Even better, don't read any of the links Shub provided and continue as you are. Considering I do PC maintenance as a sidejob per my CompTIA certifications, I could always use the business from people that just don't know any better like yourself.

Interesting development, but I'll just stick to my original plans and get an HX850 for my next build. Thanks, TC!
